>buys a sealed copy of hexen pal on saturn
>puts disc in saturn
>plays for about 30min.
>starts to hear a weird noise coming from the saturn
>realises that the manual has been bending the disc for 30 years
wtf, what do? I don't want to use a cdr because 1000 blocks save

>> No.9703261

Saturn PAL standard cases were a disaster... Maybe you can bend it back to normal keeping the disc pressed under something heavy for a long time, idk

>> No.9703272

Why would you buy a sealed copy and then open it? You spent a premium on a game that works just as well as a good condition used copy.

coomlect a new one lmao

some guy on ebay had a box full of them, grabed one for 20e (cheaper than used copies btw)

All my PAL Saturn games are scratched to fuck thanks to those shitty cases. What were they thinking?

I forgot about something, formula karts has an offical plastic box and the game wasn't made by ea
I think some later? saturn games used them

My copy of Virtua Fighter 2 is in a proper plastic box that actually snaps shut and doesn't use the outer card as the fucking hinge so I don't think it's just later games

just put the disk in the case backwards and leave it for another 30 years and then it'll be good as new

you got screwed out of your money. not much you can do without further destroying the disc.

> manchild can't handle discs properly

many such cases etc.

>>9703310
nothing wrong the original cases. retards think discs are indestructible and just don't give a shit how they handle them. sony got it right with ps2 discs and later moving to bluray with ps3 (which is the toughest optical format released for consumer market).

hello, reddit.

You're a retard, the original PAL Saturn cases have nothing that holds the manual in place which can knock the disk off the holder resulting in scratches

>>9705328
>destroying the disc.
no
>nothing wrong the original cases.
yeah thats why the manual bends the disc
what are you retarded? I own a copy of need for speed for saturn and the case is in plastic and theres enough room inside for the manual and disc, so shit like this can't happen

You know what cases annoy me? Japanese PS1 cases. They LOOK nice on the outside, but the fact that they use nonstandard CD cases means you can't swap out cracked/scuffed pieces like you can with standard jewel cases that american PS1 games came in.

But more importantly, the manual doesn't have a space to slot into. It just... floats there between the front cover and the disc. Every time you open the case you need to rearrange everything to make sure the manual is aligned right and not falling out or getting crumpled when you close it. Fucking why?

also fuck ps1 multi-disc cases. Those things just instantly fall apart every time.

Keep the disc in the middle of a large book. Put something that weighs 5lbs on top of the book.
