Aware me on the original Xbox. I only had a ps2 and a GameCube back then. What's worth playing on it and what's the difficulty of the modding process like?

In 99.99% of cases, Xbox versions of games were better than the PS2 and GameCube versions (better graphics and framerate)
MODDING PROCESS
I believe you just need Splinter Cell and a way to plug USB storage into the Xbox, it uses a custom save file to mod the system. My Xbox was modded way back in 2005 but the payload was bigger than any USB we had at the time, so I used an MP3 player as the storage device instead lol

Modding is not terribly difficult, but I recommend going for a hard mod which is still pretty easy to do.

Anyway Xbox is a great console, 6th gen games almost always have good versions on Xbox - at least I haven't found any that are terrible as far as I can recall. Lately I've been playing Carve, a really impressive jetski game by Argonaut - Xbox exclusive. Panzer Dragoon Orta has also been on rotation and that game is just pure fun and a visual delight. I'd argue it's the best looking game tied with Scrapland, sorry Conker nerdz

somehow I find the screen splatters and smears more impressive this gen than later ones
