Just gotta take a break sometimes. What are some retro experiences like this? For me it was the spider boss on Metroid fusion. As well as awakened alma from ninja gaiden black on hard mode. And every fucking level of Shinobi for ps2

I've been chipping away at a megaman and bass playthrough for a couple months one level at a time like this. I can beat a robot master as soon as a start playing but if i try to do more than one level my skills fall into the gutter and i play like garbage.

I've been having a lot of fun going through some series I haven't played, but after doing Super Mario Land, 2, Wario Land, and then 100% Wario Land 2, I knew I needed to go play something else for a while.
I don't think I've booted up Dragon Quest 2 in like two weeks. I like the game, but the dungeons kind of suck, to be honest. I don't think it helps that I'm mapping them myself and they're all built with 2x2 cells instead of 1x1s like the first game. They're much larger because of it.
