Meh, I thought it was OK during the 3D scotformer explosion. There was some truly horrific shit being shipped back then. Croc at least ranked as a solid "mediocre", which is all it ever needed to be. It was never going to beat SMB64 in the sovl or gameplay departments, so why even bother trying. Just ship a solid filler title and hope you can expand on it in a sequel.

Wrong. It's a stone cold classic. It should be compared with a game like Tomb Raider rather than Mario 64 for how it plays. It's a precision based platformer, and the best of the 32/64 bit generation.
