Worst SNES games.

man, that game was amazing on Sega. Play as a raptor or Dr. Grant? Sign me up.
Never played snes version though.

>> No.966940

it wasn't the worst. It was hard as nails, and pretty unforgiving, but like, Barbie's Fashion adventure was pretty bad.

also the sega one was a different game altogether.

Snes version is a mess.

Had this game as a kid and still haven't beat it. I never knew what the hell I was supposed to do and pretty much just wandered around until I got killed. The FPS parts in the buildings scared the shit out of me back then.

>The FPS parts in the buildings scared the shit out of me back then.

Finally! I am not the only one that was scared witless by this.
http://youtu.be/xRpaqaq9ejQ

Also no matter how many times you shoot through the door their is always a Raptor to jump out at you and one in your face when entering a nightvision section

Not a terrible game but a shit ending (intro played in reverse) and the lack of save feature killed it

Another bad comic-based game on SNES with a good soundtrack was Justice League Task Force. Probably not one of the worst SNES games, but certainly not good.

For starters, the graphics look like the doodles a middle school student would make on their folder when they're bored of listening to the teacher.

Second, the gameplay is as frustrating as the later levels of a Ghouls n' Ghosts game, but just as boring as those games are fun.

I sank more than a dozen hours into this game over the course of a week and only managed to beat four levels. It's a strong contender for the absolute worst game I've ever played.

I rented Jurassic Park quite a few times. It had 3d sections and unique music for each area. A password or save system would have been a godsend though, and my brother and I couldn't figure out the nerve bomb thing at the end.

I did. I didn't find it particularly aggravating til near the end. An adult lion swinging around like a monkey looks even more ridiculous than a cub doing it.

Just because you're too stupid for it doesn't mean it's a bad game.

>> No.968935

I have heard and seen many crappy games but on SNES the only one I have actually played instead of just watching gameplay videos on YouTube is Shaq Fu on early 00s. Back then before playing I was like "Come on! It can't be that bad.". But when I played it and saw how crappy the controls were I was like "Yeap. It's crappy indeed".

I bought that game for a dime at a garage sale and as I was walking back to our van I poked my eye on a low hanging pine tree branch.

>> No.968953

It wasn't that hard. And generally the game's difficulty was average. The only stage that pissed me off if I'm not mistaken was Hakuna Matata stage. And just like some other people, at the final boss I was like "How many fucking hits he needs until he dies?" until I realised that, just like in the movie, you have to throw him from the cliff.

>> No.968958

>>968953
Also forgot to mention that I have a friend of mine who's so much skillful in genres like fightings and rpg but in some platform games his skills are shit. Months ago he told me that he finally beat Lion King with a pride like he beat a Megaman or Contra game. My reply was "Was it that hard for you? I beat it without much trouble when I was in high school." And he answered me that he never managed to beat it when he was younger.

It's always funny had so many LJN games had things in common (nice soundtrack, being known as a bad license game) but LJN didn't actually make *any* of them.

What are the odds that so many different devs (Among them was Rare. Yeah. That one.) pulled of similar trends with these games?

People should elaborate more on why a game is bad besides just the opinion itself.

>>967090
Not that bad actually, once you knew what you were doing. Be happy it wasn't the Home Alone game where you had to spend like an hour of real time to beat each level. Think it mighta been one of the sequels.

I actually agree with this entirely. Imagine Doom as a delicious treat, a cookie perhaps. Then imagine this grody old man with bad body odours comes out, rubs the cookie into his pits, chews on it and spits it out into a stinky mush. That's Doom for SNES

>> No.969093

You know one thing this game did that needed to be in more fighters?
No wait, come back, hear me out.
Those little animated mugshots getting more and more beaten up as you lost health. That was an awesome detail.

It had a baller soundtrack, and a pretty neat mechanic where you had to stay awake via not taking hits or by collecting things to keep you awake. But if you fell asleep, the level went straight to nightmare fuel mode and was generally harder. If I remember right, one of the first bosses is Freddy's severed head attacking you with projectiles.

The projectiles are his own tongue that he bites off and spits at you.

One of the better LJN games to be honest.

I always liked this game. I think its difficulty is over rated. If you don't really like Lion King to begin with and are just forcing yourself to play it that'll make it more frustrating. I loved LK as a kid so playing this over and over was still really fun.
