People have been using fancy sourceport features to put mirrored floor effects in Doom for years, but there's actually some engine exploits with the original .exe which lets you have those visuals.
This isn't a true mirroring effect, but still.

I have no idea. That screenshot is some deathmatch level someone made in like 1996, maybe it was someone who was popular back then.

Here's a more recent example of fake reflective floors in Doom. Knee Deep In ZDoom is a fairly famous/infamous recreation of Doom's first episode while using all the bells and whistles ZDoom had to offer at the time (2007), including reflective floors and DN3D style security cameras, to name just some. It was liked for technical achievements and detail, but also has been criticized a lot for bloat and dubious design decisions.
It's pretty commonly regarded as not as good as the original game's own first episode, with a lot of the detailing and additions being very style over substance, and it's often difficult to even recognized the levels as being based on the original ones. It's a tech demo for ZDoom, and a dated one.

Recently, someone 'demade' KDIZD as KDIKDIZD, which recreates these levels for the vanilla executable to every extent possible, using all the fucky oldschool mapping tricks to recreate the effects, including fake reflective floors, fake sloped surfaces, and even fake security cams.
With levels revamped to actually be closer to what the originals they're meant to be based on, and the gameplay and progression changed to make it good, this exercise in oldschool trickery makes the flashy 2007 release look yet more quaint.

Many people say Pokemon games have shitty graphics but i honestly think they started shitting the bed with the Switch ones, while the older one where pleasantly aesthetic.
Same can be say about newer games in general where the aesthetics are thrown through the window only to have realistic graphics.

I think gen 3 throught 5 looked fine for the system they were in. Sure they weren't the best looking games for the system but in no way would I say they looked bad. Gen 6 was the one that started the trend of shitty looking pokemon games with awful graphics/performance.

Even the sprite games are pretty fucking bad compared to what was being released at the same time. Pokemon has never been graphically impressive, though they did manage to pull off some nice aesthetic "comfiness" in a few places.

They never should have gone 3D. At least relatively bad sprite work can still look decent if composed well enough. The abominations that are the 3D Pokemon games will never look good. At best you get one semi-decent looking area per game that you can cherry pick screenshots from.
