The fact there are not many games featuring dolphins time-traveling through alternate biopunk universes.

It also was one of the most beautiful looking games back in the day, the graphics are amazing for Dreamcast.

First when you make that jump in first level to impress dolphin coach and second during Hanging Waters part

The rest of the game is pretty much claustrophobic or just not so generous on good weather

Very underrated game imo. It's a shame that the sequel was cancelled, although there's a playable build with six levels posted online.

The first level is good and then you get to the second level and ragequit because that maze is fucking bullshit. I'm not sure 1 decently fun/memorable opening level is enough to qualify an entire game as good.

Blue Skies in this context doesnt necessarily refer literal blue sky, Defender of the Future has a rich underwater world that absolutely qualifies

But I'll admit, that level filtered me too as a kid.
I couldn't figure out how to beat the great white shark, until one day I actually paid attention to cutscene at the beginning and got the hint they were giving. Being so smart never felt better to me, so I finally killed the shark and then finished rest of the game.

Maybe try that sometime too. I heard it works for other games as well.

The worst thing about it was Medusa fucking knocking you back several levels. Does the original get better? I think I got past the octopus and was like "meh". Also, what about the Dreamcast game? Anyone ever play that one?
