Well it's not as unfashionable as it used to be. I was 13 in 1997 when I got my first console, a plain old Nintendo. I passed the word in school that I was looking to buy NES stuff and people took pity. I started with a 15$ budget. After two years I had amassed quite the collection but I ended up selling everything in early 2003 for 100$, to pay rent. Back then nobody cared for that stuff, it was poorfag shit.

I don't really categorize games that much. Maybe because I never stopped playing retro games, most people just sort of come back to them, they start by replaying their childhood classics which helps them rediscover their love for traditional game design, etc. It wasn't like this for me
