I enjoy playing the remake more than the original
>Better designed levels
>More and better bosses
>Much more challenging final boss
>Customizable soundtrack
The only downside for me is that I prefer 2D graphics but honestly this game looks fine and a lot of backgrounds are very eye candy and more polished than the original's 8bit black backgrounds or brick walls.

I enjoy playing the original better because of graphics and the default music, but the new content of the remake is really good.
The original Dracula fight is such an anticlimax.

I agree, I think the game as a whole is better. As you say the graphical style is a bit worse but not enough to ignore the other improvements. I also like Richter's redesign but I think I'm in a minority on that.
