For me it's her
>the right amount of secrets and sidequests, that idyllic tone, the suddenly serious graveyard with the mill ambience, the well, the sheikah lore, the zombie/prisoner lore, the freedom and vertical gameplay with the hookshot, that fun bow minigame, distant mooing from Death Mountain, music not replaced 20% in like in ALttP
What is yours?

Actually make that four if you count the Royal composers' crypt and Dampe's huge and creepy as fuck underground maze

Because gestalt and Kakariko doesn't exist or should be seen in isolation. You can even see the Goron place it's adjacent to from it and hear and see Kakariko from the top of the mountain. It also has connections to the farm and castle town. It has greens and blues and feels more vertical in gameplay when you climb the roofs as you did as children, it's generally more relatable with more realistic buildings. On top of that, the creepy dungeons you mention make it feel even comfier and safer in contrast and vice versa, which is something OoT in general does brilliantly

I also never really got over MM's asset rehashing. I see a character and just feel like, "Oh it's that guy from OoT."

That's the one I was thinking of. Waking yp a d hanging out with your blacksmith foster dad, taking a swim in the sea from the small beach to the south, talking to towns people and then engaging in unfathomable horror.

Before the addition of NPC Vendors you could hire and place on your homes, players used to crowd the city streets of Britain, Vesper and Trinsic to sell their wares to other players. From poorly-crafted armor to magical swords from the depths of Hythloth you'd have people trading in all sorts of goods. And watch out for pickpockets, they have nimble fingers. Never before had a game world felt more "alive."

Little big adventure 2, the first two islands. The entire game is very memorable but the first half of the game, before the full scale alien invasion, is pretty comfy.

When I played it was pre-tutorial so after character creation it just plopped you into a random town. For me, Alberta is home

Dungeon crawling with semi-randomized layouts and loot. Weapon upgrading and evolving. One character gets a customizable robot to fight in, the other transforms into enemy monsters with set skills. You recruit townspeople to go live in towns you get to design and customize.
You know that one cool mechanic you really like about a game? This game is all of those in one, and it's its own fully fleshed out system. Just don't think it's perfect going into it.
