Is /vr/ still working on their own DNF '01 restoration?

I assume that the total lack of traction on this was when the various groups realised what was blatantly obvious after an hour's play - there's nothing to restore, this was a game that was barely started in terms of meaningful development. What little is close to finished is so bland and generic it can't even be spun out into a full game.

whew boy good luck with that. They sold the rights to whoever it was that finished it, then said they never did... it was a legal mess not sure anyone even worked for 3d realms at the end just an angry ai talking crap. I never found out what happened, but I enjoyed the Forever we got. Nothing special like the first one but a solid shooter, unfortunately the 360 waas a fps machine.

it exited fullscreen because I got a warning saying it tried to access the internet, and i saved the log.
i can't seem to reproduce it quickly (it happened right at the water fountain right next to the pool table and arcade machines.)

i suggest only playing this in a VM. no clue what triggers it but its better to be safe.
