I love mario bros. the 5200 version might be my favorite version. I tried playing hotel mario but my emulator kept crashing everytime I beat a level. I actually really love the hotel mario ost, and the gameplay I think would be pretty cool for an arcade game, though not a very great home console game. Also Mario Clash is awesome

the only games i didnt particularly care for were the "new" series on the 3ds and wii

NSMBU : blows all past entries out of the water. If we stick to the pure retro games then it's SMB3

3d world: only multiplayer Mario that is actually fun to play without fighting each other in the later levels.


As good and as fun as the retro Mario's are, they did get outdone by newer entries. Just Nintendo doing its job.

Bitches like it because the games are cute but honestly Mario is not the most normalfag thing anymore. It still sells a lot but man, people nowadays don't play gameplay focused single player games anymore. I think all of the sales are coming from Japan and people who are into classic platformers and don't play a lot of other modern games that focus on realistic graphics and all that stuff

NSMBU feels like a rehash of the Wii one. They didn't refine anything and the level design is weaker in my opinion. Just like with NSMB2 and the OG NSMB. They should've stopped after the second game on the Wii
