Just beat this for the first time, got the bad ending. I don't know if I should play it again and attempt to get a better end or move to 2, I loved everything about this game except for the combat, towards the end bumping into enemies was just annoying rather than hair-raising.

Finally given hard mode a try. I’d go so far as to say the game feels like it was balanced for hard mode.

that's cool, I played it for the first time ever last month. I also really enjoyed it, beautifully atmospheric game. The combat was a bit janky, but it worked. I was surprised at how plentiful ammo was, even vs Resident Evil.
I'm currently playing through Silent Hill 2 right now, and probably like it even better. It's a good sequel that captures a lot of what made 1 so memorable.

I loved this game. It's very different to 3, and i would suggest skipping 2 (or if you must, give it a try but don't expect it to get good).
You can definitely feel the RE influence in DMC1.

I have a hard time finding a new /vr/ game and actually stick to it, so I'll just list what played this past week.

Super Metroid, I usually speedrun it in about an hour and 30 minutes when im bored.
Silent hill 2, started a replay but didn't get far I just reached the hospital.
Thunder force 4, I usually die before completing the 4 early stages and quit.
Prince of persia on the Megadrive, sword fighting is frustrating, I'll get back to it since I like the look of the game.
Bomberman on the Megadrive, fun game but I get bored after a little while.
Doom, just mindlessly killing enemies untill I get bored

Kirby Super Star Ultra DS. Which seems to be a remake of the SNES game. I used to hate Kirby, but I'm so tired all the time it's kinda a nice break from challenge. I'm digging him now. Wish I had snapped up more Kirby games before the prices went stupid.

The other endings are pretty good, you might need to check a guide to get the best one. You don't have do do those before playing the second one though. Silent Hill 3 is great as well and it's a direct sequel to the first one. The 4th one is alright but very different. I can't recomment it as much as the first three.

Is this code randomly generated? I don't want to look up help for a puzzle but this has walled me for an hour, I genuinely can't figure out what this code is. I've tried 5234,5334,5434,5834,5237,5337,5437, etc. I'm not sure if 1st digit is 4 or 5 and I have no idea what 4th is, 2nd and 3rd look like 2 and 3
