as much as i love the 7800 i almost agree with OP
the current ryzen vcs is technically "the best" as it can run the entire backlog including jaguar\cd

Is this thing expensive or rare?
First time I see a thread about it here on /vr/

looks like an easter egg painting kit. weird to think there's actually a manbaby out there mentally ill enough to believe this is tasteful.

Semi rare, sort of expensive (in the Atari 8 bit market), but it's just an 800XL in a "console" case. It's essentially the same as an Atari 400/800/XL/XE. Huge software library, lots of fun games. Was a last gasp to milk a few bucks out of there 1979 machine, and it worked; mild success for Tramiel's atari. It accompanied the XE computers, which were cheap as hell and looked cool.

are you ok?

The best thing about XEGS was that it prompted Atari Corporation to rerelease some classic disk games in cartridge form. Makes playing them much more convenient.

>> No.9408219

I tried playing on a lcd tv and the colors look different. Used the composite socket of it. But on a crt it looks fine
Anyone knows why does that happen?

I have one so I was thinking of selling it
before it dies of age. I have the keyboard and lightgun.
1 game that never worked was that simulator that came with the console. Maybe the rom is corrupted

Wasn't the Atari ST around when this was released?

>> No.9408281

>>9408276
Yes, the XEGS is a console version of the ST

There's a color adjust pot on the console
>>9408276
Yeah, the 8 bit line hung around as super budget machines in NA, and did quite well in former soviet bloc countries. Also no one in the US had an ST and eastern europe couldn't afford them.

No sir.

The plastic and design elements used in console is exactly like the ST.

Why do zoomers like this one continue to feel the need to post in threads about things they weren't even alive for, let alone know anything about?
