There is a common complaint that non-jp box art always looks angry.

I think in some cases it is 100% worse to have everyone smiling like fucking idiots and overly happy. Nips are desperate for good feelings so any sign of negative feefees is removed from the cover to avoid the Nip killing himself before buying the game. "Ror no, game coveru have sadu. Me sadu. matane world"
