The only thing you can get is a custom background, and if the author considered it, a custom colour on VGUI to match the theme of the game and a custom font.
Meanwhile WON gets a custom background (sometimes with animated text like the default BG) custom console appearance, alongside custom font and text colour

I haven't actually tried the CD version in maybe 10 years at the very least, I still have my discs but I don't even have a CD drive on my current computer.
I guess I could pirate it, Gaben won't go hungry. Not sure how well the original .exe will run on Win10 though.

Great argument you have there.

Half-Life 1 has lightning issues and has very shitty wallpaper background for menu(of,bs also same).

Blue Shift is completly fucked you have to download a mod for original game.

Half-Life 2 crashes every single minute at later chapter where you control npcs. Also its very fucked up to Episode 2 engine port that it doesn't function properly. They didn't even bothered to fix that. You have to install a mod called half-life2 update just to play the game without crashes.
