I rocked the Pokemon Pikachu and Pokemon Pikachu 2 back in the day. I was the coolest kid in high school.

I visited New York back when the Pokemon Center was in full swing. I went apeshit buying all sorts of merchandise. I fancied the Pokemon Mini, but decided I had done enough damage already.

Later I was walking down the street and a guy hands me a flyer for the Pokemon Center. Spend $X, get A free. Spend $Y, get B free.

"No biggie, I can live without those freebies," I thought.

Spend $Z, get a Pokemon Mini and 2 games for free.

I had already spent well over $Z.

Kudos to you on recreating the screens by hand. I always wanted to "hack" the device and replace the sprites with Meowths, but I wouldn't know where to begin.

The Pokewalker could operate standalone. Eventually a Pokemon will "follow you" (i.e. be generated by the Pokewalker) and you could use it to play the minigames. If you want to select a specific Pokemon or course, you'll need the game, though.

I had this one. I remember saving up a shit ton of the walking credits and giving them all to Pikachu at the same time and he played the piano or something. I think I ended up giving it away to some kid from down the street who always would come over and complain about not having the toys I had until I would give the stupid fuck something. The bastard tried to steal Super Mario Bros. Deluxe from me, I stopped letting him come over after that.

Where do you think I could buy one of these? Goodwill? A retro game store?

I bought all of the games they offered , but I think it came bundled with one.

I have/had...

Zany Cars
Puzzle
Pinball
Party

I bought the Whooper and Chikorita handhelds.

If I do end up finding both and the games, I'll probably sell them, without the cases.

Zany Cards even.

The one game I always remember constantly playing was Puzzle.

pic, superior.
Pocket Pikachuu: doesn't count steps accurately, loud as fuck.
Teku Teku Angel: settable walking goals, two games

Have a PP2, maybe because I bought it second hand, but it's got the worst screen ever. Can't see shit on it.

>>928941
Of all the Tamagotchi clones, RakuRaku Dinokun was probably the best one. Many sucked, others overloaded theirs with features. RRDK kept things simple, and its relatively lower resolution screen actually added to its charm.

You can't see much because it's like a calculator screen, it works better indoors
