Something that isn't talked about much on here or anywhere is promo posters, so basically ones that were released to advertise the game. Often they have the best art on them from the entire development

I've scrolled through literal thousands on yahoo japan and mercari and ordered a few, my most recent one is this majoras mask one.

While this is a very fun niche for me, what I realised is that I have NEVER seen proper reprints of these. When for example you look up ''Majoras Mask poster' on western sites you'll get like a art print, but never the actual cool promo poster, this is consistent for like almost every game.

So the question is should we be preserving these? Obviously these printing companies are too lazy to scan the real things so should we be doing them? They're really cool

Because of their usual b2 size you can never find digatised version of the art on them so that makes them really special and cool in my opinion. I'll post some more of my favs

Also cool thing to notice is that all the nippon ichi games like la pucele disagaea etc render in 240p natively

I adore these posters because they save so much of the best old anime art and aesthetics. There's a lot of cool y2k type ones for example in the dreamcast and early ps2 library

Fighting games to me consistently have some of the coolest posters, capcom always banged it out the park, shinkiro did so many awesome kof designs, daisuke made great promo posters for ggx and range murata for matrimelee and groove on fight is godlike
