I pre-emptively apologize for the off topic addition but I felt they really dropped the ball by not implementing boost mechanics to allow for high speed cliff face parkour and instead focusing on tried and true speed setpieces like rails, springs and boost panels to populate the levels... Anon, there's this family of anthropomorphic bears that are characters in a series of popular children's books. Um, how do you spell their last name?

>> No.9240225

>>9240208
I do not know their names, nor think that bears in general have names. I only know that they are described in three sizes: small, medium, and large. The children's tale encourages us to see the middle between two extemes as the most ideal.

>> No.9240247

that's it.

America is too shitty in reality to have nice race tracks so ignorant Japanese devs made actual nice tracks instead of trying to be accurate and emulate the shithole the USA is.

If they would have given you nice tracks and would have called it Euros yanks wouldn't buy it.

The newest Daytona still has that because it's literally the old one being emulated while a modern renderer renders what's happening in the 1993 game in 2017 graphics. That's also why the new tracks are reskins.

Yeah his pronounciation is bad and his accent is weird, but his performance has a lot of charm and energy in it that I can't help but enjoy it, imo. I'll take Mitsuyoshi's vocals any day over the american singers they replace him with overseas, like in Daytona 2 or Burning Rangers.

Anon the game is Daytona USA. the word tona in Maori means "his" and their language is read right to left so it's "His Day" thus the title of the game is His Day USA. It's meant to be a fantastical tour of the USA try not to think about it too much.
