I think most of the chinese handheld anons will tell you you just posted it. I have no idea, personally. Didn't care for the Anbernic I bought.

There's an entire thread for chink handhelds where shills will gladly tell you which one is good. Go there and ask.

Smart phones are awful for retro gaming. The touchscreen makes for a shit controller.

yeah you totally can't connect a controller through bluetooth or anything, just gotta touch the screen

Don't get a Miyoo Mini. There are daily threads on reddit on how fragile these things can be. Wait for a better manufacturer like Anbernic to make clone that doesn't break after falling once.

Also the only part kinda fragile is the screen. Just don't drop it like a monkey.

Used Go's sell for $100 easy, and are locked to 32GB total because Sony shit the bed with yet another proprietary storage media and dropped it before developing anything beyond 16GB.
The Miyoo OP posted emulates a lot better than the PSP for $50, and a 128GB card is only like $20.

Any good ones of these with clamshell designs? It makes it much more pocketable IMO.

theres that v90 for like 40 bucks that looks like it could survive a 4 year old

I got one of those on a whim, but the SNES and GBA emulation isn't fast enough (yes I used the CFW) and the battery life is poor.

Actual chink handheld user here, for best pocketability, probably the TrimUI Model S/Powkiddy A66. The Miyoo Mini is better because of the screen, extra buttons, and OnionOS but it's not as thin as the A66. Alternatively, you could just get a PSP Go.

Unfortunately that design is rarer and only a few have been made. It is the best design IMO. The X18S is decent but it's price maybe is steeper than you want. It has it's flaws but it is one of the better clamshells that isn't a NDS. A shame there isn't more.
