Am I the only faggot who thinks this game is hard?
I can't beat fucking bahamut

>> No.919278

The game is really only as hard as you make it. What jobs are you using?

>> No.919281

>>919272
I'm playing it right now, it's about as "hard" as Chrono Trigger or FFVII.

>> No.919292

I'm switching between samurai and ninja with Butz, Faris is a summoner with lvl 5 jikuu and both Lenna and Cara are lvl 6 Black magicians with lvl 6 white magic, sometimes I change White magic with Blue

>> No.919294

The game isn't hard. Stop being autistic.

I must be terrible then, CT is piss-easy, never played FFVII

>> No.919298

It's hard until you realize it's a puzzle game, not a RPG.

>> No.919398

Never fought Bahamut at the end of the game. I found the game pretty easy, maybe because Butz was a Ninja with Mystic Arts as a skill which made all encounters and majority of the bosses a cake walk.

Once I got gil toss without knowing it until trying it the game was pretty much over.

Get some damage dealers in your party, doesnt matter what you pick just whatever the hell you want

If you are in a boss set up 1 party member to know white magic and haste all (the time mage ability) Have him cast haste all at the start of the fight than just have him heal every time. Have your other 3 party members be literally any damager dealer in the game.

If you are in a dungeon just do normel attacks and than turn people into white mages out of combat and use heal

This how you go through the entire fucking game.

sweet you just saved me a lot of time. not going to bother playing.

Max out ranger, then switch to a tougher physical fighter and give them x-fight. Particularly deadly with Ninjas since they use 2 weapons.

this kills 95% of all enemies in the game.

Later on when you have everything maxed and using freelancers, mystic sword + x-fight with Brave Blade and Excalibur (I think) equipped kills everything else. You just have to nail their weakness, and you'll end up doing upwards 79992 damage with 1 turn setup and 1 turn attack.

Thing is, some of the last enemies in the game can kill you in half a turn, plus x-fight is random and may not kill some enemies due to focusing on any others on the map... and at least one of the behemoths in the Cleft of Dimensions counters with Meteo if it is hit physically.

you dun goofed

butz should have been a hunter for a long time to get x-fight, and then switched to samurai, and used spellswords for boss fights

faris should have been a ninja/theif for a good portion of the game and migrated to dragoon

lenna should have been white mage, then summoner, and had her be an alchemist for a little bit to learn the mixes.

galuf/kara should have been the black mage/and blue mage for most of the game.

Has anyone ever beaten this guy? I am level 95(grinded for 4 hours in the final dungeon) and am nowhere close to beating him. I'm beginning to think it's impossible. Can it be done without cheating /vr/?

>> No.921582

maybe it depends on the setup. I hear that Atomos is very hard a lot but I remember having a couple of samurais raining GPtoss on it and ending the fight quickly.

I beat bahamut, had the game on quicksave, then my roomate took the game to play while on the toilet and reverted me hours. I just recently got back into it.

That's kind of asshole of you. The fella's just looking for hints, not some in-depth guide on how to solve Neo Shinryu.

Sadly, I can't remember how I did him in, but I think I used a specific setup around level 60-70. I think Drink or Mix was one of the things I used.

If you have two people who can caste level 6 white magic then just cast reflect on everyone as early as possible in the fight.

Bahamut will eventually use his mega flare attack, which will reflect off your four characters for ludicrous damage.

>> No.921841

>>919483
If you're using rune axe then you'll probably get more damage from having a magic skill equipped rather than two handed.

Now, if your using the giant axe...

>> No.921848

>>921841
Rune axe only takes like 5 MP for a critical. That will last you a while, even on a berserker.

>> No.921854

>This how you go through the entire fucking game.
That is one way to go through the game.

There is a huge number of workable solutions. Brute forcing with white magic and time magic is easy mode.

>> No.921865

>>921848
Rune axe does damage based on your magic stat, as well as your strength.
Equipping a magic skill will boost a berserkers magic score from around 3 to around 40. This multiplies potential damage immensely.

>> No.921873

>>921865

I just thought it gave you crits every hit and nothing else. Whops.

>> No.921880

>Hardest FF game for me.
That's because you're using the wrong tactics. Levels in ff5 do almost nothing. They slightly increase your damage output infrequently, give you more HP, give you more MP, and make status effects you cast more likely to hit while status effects enemies cast less likely to hit. That's it. No stats ever go up in the game. There is very little that levels actually give you. Very rarely does grinding for levels solve a goddamn thing.
>>921567
Give someone the flame lash and a reflect ring, turn them into a zombie, have the other party members use !hide, wait a few hours with the game on fastforward. Flame lash casts fire 3 sometimes, the zombie attacks themselves and bounces fire 3 onto neo shinryu, zombies can't ever die. He'll eventually cast mute, making all magic stop casting for the rest of the fight, and resort entirely to physical attacks, at which point !image from Ninja on multiple dudes renders him mostly harmless.

Alternatively: Find a chemist mix chart, mix up things that counter every attack he has, win fight, the end.
