Let's try THIS

>> No.9190005

Why does his PS2 model look like a completely different person? Huge nose and sloping head.

>> No.9190025

Blue Shift would've benefited from having more weapons, enemies, and a better ending.

(Inb4 it's a side story and doesn't need it)

it was literally just bonus content for the dreamcast port

funny that if it wasn't released people would be begging for it

Not him, but I think that's really true. I beat it for the first time about 6 years ago. It only took me a little over 5 hours and I think I might of beat it in one or two sittings. While it's not bad, it pales in comparison to Opposing Force. I can play that game over and over (and maybe nostalgia plays a large factor), but Blue Shift is pretty meh. Still, I am happy to have it

They should just have made it exclusive to the PS2 instead.

Too short and shit to be a worthy expansion.

blue shift is kino frapukino, I find the level geometry to be more realized that its prequels and I enjoy navigating the maps very much.

>> No.9191978

Blue Shift is one of my favourite part of HL1, the level design and the combat are great (unless you want to exploit the level design, which you can in many cases against grunts...) and it's a great summary of all the good parts of HL1 without the bad part

Opposing Forces is more like, quantity over quality.

I think Blue Shift has prettier levels than OpFor but that's probably because it's much shorter. I do think the encounter design is better in Blue Shift. OpFor feels pretty aimless at times.

I think the big problem is that HL1 is an expertly paced game for the most part and everything that comes after pales in comparison.
