Well yes, but you don't do just "walk left to right and float" stuff past KDL1.
There are puzzles, hidden rooms and some relatively tricky enemies that prevent you from just flying through the level.
Try to beat Great Cave Offensive in Super Star by "walking casually", you'll get a bad ending.

I liked 3 a lot and still play it occasionally.
But it wasn't as good as Superstar. Nothing has ever been as fun to play as Superstar. Not in over 20 years.

It's Dream Land 2 but far worse, despite the extra animals (some which have their powers from DL2 ruined, such as Kine with Spark). Losing unique theme songs for the animals also sucks. The Sakurai games are top tier, while the other ones are good to mediocre.

It’s good but not as good as Dreamland 2. The main problem is it’s just got a lot of tiny irritating issues that aren’t huge issues but add up to make it a lesser experience with than it’s prequel.

It's good, but one of the most overshadowed games of the series both because of the N64 and because Kirby Super Star spoiled everyone who expected the next game to be as kinetic. It's clearly the best out of the original "Dream Land" trilogy, and it has perhaps the best atmosphere and style in the entire series. The Heart Stars were a pain at times though, and they made the game experience far too rigid if you cared about truly beating the game. Most other games were way better balanced in this regard.
