I've boughten the game Mario RPG and a NES Earthbound, and find both games do not play. Both were said to be play tested and worked. The guy I got Mario from wouldn't take the game back and told me he had play tested it. Earthbound I had taken back and was sent another copy. The owner told me the game had been working fine for him, and the next one he sent me had the same issue.

But I have tons of other games that work just fine. So why wont these play?

Rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip, use it.

Polite sage.

are you using original hardware or clone machines? iirc some super nes clones will not play smrpg, but i'm not totally sure about that

Tried that didn't work.
>>914795
Not sure what you mean. The game itself is original but the machine is a 3 in 1 machine

>the machine is a 3 in 1 machine
That's probably the issue

This is what happens when you buy Chinese garbage, anon.
To play those games, you need to have a real SNES.

Whatabout my NES Earthbound?

>> No.914843

The problem is they're probably NTSC carts. Is English your first language? If it isn't, I'm guessing you're European, in which case you probably have a PAL system, which probably won't play 'murican games.
If that is the case, you can disable the lockout chip for NES, not sure about N64 though.

Oh, well you sure they're NTSC carts? Sorry I can't be more help here.

If you're not prepared to at least do some simple research before dropping all of that money then you don't really deserve to be playing the games.

I bought two games off a custom game maker. One was the NES earthbound that didn't work. Another was a custom Genesis game that worked perfectly.

>> No.914881

It's almost certainly that you're using a 3-in-1.

Mario rpg, earthbound, and casevania III are the most oroblematic games for console clones. Get a real snes and a real Nes. Fucking plebs

It's obvious they were typing quickly, anyone with half a brain can determine that. But "boughten" is legitimately a fucking dumb thing to say.

>> No.915284

it's because you bought the most problematic games to get working on a chink shit console, you moron. Do some research next time

This thread sure is full of people being angry at a guy.

>> No.915438

Allow me to sum up this entire thread so we can stop talking about it.

Clone machines(3 in 1) are not the real hardware, they emulate. They usually steal from other emulators, most of which do not have 100% compatibility. As such, if you use one, there are bound to be many games that do not work, and I'm willing to wager that would include 95% of "custom" games, which are either unreleased games hacked to completion, or homebrew, both of which were only tested to function on authentic hardware, not emulators.

Your games don't work because your 3 in 1 is cheap knockoff shit. The end.

You fucking pleb. You do not deserve the pleasure of playing those games if you can not even be bothered to purchase an actual real console. You make me sick and are on the same level as a nigger to me.

Holy shit, I bet you're just aching for your 13th birthday to roll around so your uncle can buy you that cool airsoft M4 carbine!

Clonesoles have compatibility issues, duh, but not everybody lives in an area where you can find the system you want to buy. Shit, there are RARELY any Turbo CD systems on even eBay, and that's the system I'm sorta-looking for. I don't doubt that genuine SNES systems are dried up in some places.

If you're willing to look on eBay for a Turbo CD, then OP should be willing to look on eBay for a legitimate SNES and NES.
