I have never heard of it but it looks cool. Is there a way to play it on Win7?

How high is the entry barrier for the Wing Commander games? Are the controls a bit finicky for someone who grew up on 3rd to 5th generation consoles?

honestly I'd just play play Freespace(2). Bonus points if you play it with a force feedback joystick.

>Play Descent 3 for the first time with my force feedback stick
>bump into a wall to my right
>joystick reacts with the proper direction and force
>mfw

Not overly so, really. The SNES version could get difficult due to so many controls, but once you figured out that you only needed to actually use half(or less) of them, a lot of stress was removed.

The real draw I felt for this game was throwing together a galaxy at war, with solid background to the people and equipment in it. I spent just as much time learning about my wingmen and the ships as I did blowing the fuck out of Kilrathi furballs. The talent brought into WC3 was icing ON the cake icing, personally.

Be aware that WC2 and back have aged, pixelated graphics...DO NOT let that deter you from playing them, you won't be sorry!

Confirmed underage for not recalling Rhys-Davies as Sallah instead of Gimli.

I kid, of course.
