My thoughts are that almost no one played this game or knew it existed until 15+ years after it's release when a bunch of YouTubers decided it was a "hidden gem" and absolutely no discussion of it whether positive or negative is organic.

Its fun, but if i have to choose what to play, il probably go back to metal slug or contra.

The one thing i do like about tresaure stuff and id say things like earthworm jim and tempo also fall into it, is the games dont really have a concrete "this is the game" feel, they are always changing up mechanics depending on the situation. I can see how that may piss many off though.

I'm 38 and everybody thought this is just lame one while there are games like Contra on sega or snes or Alien Shooter games.
Hell i personally enjoyed Dinosaurs for Hire more than Gunstar Heroes as a kid.

GH has shitty character design and okay gameplay. there are better games than GH. But most people know only 2-3 (Contra/GunstarHeroes/other thing)
