Play it right away, it's not remotely difficult to get started with. Supports analog, delivers its premise to you and starts getting cool very quickly. It's as simple as an FPS to grapple with, there's no entry trouble. Not quite Sub Rebellion tier but damn it's good.

I have. The latter stages are completely fucked on Expert mode. Sharks will get stuck on you dealing immense damage at an insane tick rate if they hit you from awkward angles, some enemies attack you before they even show up on-screen, and the final boss is the most scuffed shit I've ever seen. And don't even get me started on the goddamn water current mechanics.
Tallarico's music is pretty good though.

Aquanaut's Holiday is also pretty comfy. I like the fish scanning. Since PS3 emulation is hit and miss I recommend a real PS3.

This is one of those games that vr tricked me into buying. Bought it and within 5 minutes wanted to return it. Traded it for tekken 5 which also sucked ass. Sub rebellion is another one.
