Platformer thread.

What's your favorite platformer? What's your favorite levels or segments in levels?
Who's your favorite platformer dude and what makes his jumping so cool?
Which has the best platforms and scenery and why is jumping on stuff so comfy?

Mega Man Zero 4
>What's your favorite levels or segments in levels?
The opening of above, I like pretty much any level where the set is moving, aside from forced scrolling shit
>Who's your favorite platformer dude and what makes his jumping so cool?
Zero and afterimages when you dash before a jump
>Which has the best platforms and scenery and why is jumping on stuff so comfy?
Yoshi's Island always had nice sets

Donkey Kong on game boy
The way the game evolves from old school DK gives me throbbing boner every time

One in which you're riding down underground on a gondola to this music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgdzN6aA0bs

>what makes his jumping so cool?
It's slippery and he can ride on the bouncing stars that come out of his brain

Never played 4, but Mega Man Zero 1 is one of my favorite games of all time. There was a point in my life where I finished it at least once every day. Never played any of the sequels, though, are they much better?

None of the Zero games are good, and they're barely platformers
