Samurai X had a handful, but none was even close to doing the cartoon justice, in an alternate reality there's a moody, late 5th gen beat em' up made of it, with an original story arc and 8.5/10 reviews across the board. Now that I think about, it and probably several other IPs must have suffered from being relevant at an awkward time, in this case having the anime come out during the transition between generations...

I can't help but think of a janky side-scroller game based on Commando. Must be the fault of how good the film's soundtrack would sound performed by the SNES soundchip. Like they could make an entire level out of the few seconds in the plane's cargo bay, complete with labyrinthic box platforms and dogs that jump from the right side of the screen
