The Sega CD version really is the best. It has extra dialogue and events, extra shooting segments, and the only censorship is the nudity, underage girl, and animal gore (still shown but not animated). Unlike the Playstation release, one for the Sega CD doesn't have any mosaic filters, and one instance of a dead body was actually redrawn to be more gory than in the other versions of the game. Not to mention, pic related made it in.

Just give it a try on the Sega CD. I understand the appeal of the MSX and PC-88 soundtracks, but the Sega CD's is phenomenal too. There's some really nice stereo effects that can go unnoticed unless you play with headphones (not saying you should). I've never been a big fan of the music in the PCE release. I don't think the sound chip of the PCE was very well suited for Snatcher, and I'm not sure if it was fully utilized either. The cool thing about the Sega CD is that it actually adds a couple of tracks (drums and something else) to the ones produced by the Genesis. If you have a model 1 Genesis, you can unplug your aux cable and hear the difference.

This song would be pretty great if the samples were better quality and it didn't sound like it was recorded in the company bathroom

This game is prime cheapo-dreamcast-game-but-some-japanese-dude-still-wanted-to-leave-a-mark. It wouldn't be enjoyable if it were improved.

It's an awful "song" no matter what form you hear it in.

People rag on KoF 2001 but it's a masterpiece compared to the shitheap that is 02's OST. Take Jungle Bouncer for instance. It actually sounds worse and lower quality than the version from fucking '94 nearly a decade earlier.

not saying it wasn't, just giving an idea of what the devs actually intended that turned into seemingly random beeps in the NES version.

Jungle Bouncer in general is, yes. Probably why 02UM and XIV used Desert Requiem from '95 for the Ikaris/Heidern.

I was going to post this, evergrace is awesome. Evergrace 2's OST is a bit more consistently good.

This OST sounds like having explosive diarrhea in a Rainforest Cafe. Watching my cousins play this game turned me off of ever wanting a Sega Genesis.
