OP pic is the only game where Kirby doesn't have his signature ability to copy enemies' powers (I think) and is more like a basic platformer. Kirby Dream Land 2, 3 and 64 rely heavily on puzzle mechanics so if that's not your thing i'd say you probably wouldn't enjoy it.
Also from the second game onwards, the plot gets more and more fucked up gradually, with random dark shit being mixed into cuteness. Which is absolutely awesome by me, since it doesn't overdo it with retarded edginess or something.

The NES one is basically the same but bigger and adds Kirby's ability to steal powers, if you liked the OP one then you'll like it

Correct, Kirby doesn't Copy in his first game, but the seed of the idea is there. With Super Spicy Curry and the Mint Leaf/Sweet Potato, "kirby eats something and gets powered up in a way related to it" just evolved into "can do anything". "Can grow spikes" is a big leap from "he ate hot food and now breathes fire like a cartoon character/he ate a sweet potato and now can't stop burping" though

Reminds me of some of the mid-late-90s obscure shareware games for PC back when digitization was getting more sophisticated.
