The newer Switch/PS4/PC releases have higher-resolution assets and different, longer scenes, but here's the thing: each and every overseas release (even the new ones, somehow) has muted the voice clips, axed the story mode, and run the remaining text through google translate, so whatever you choose, make sure it's a japanese release.
I've also heard the PC ver. has all the files intact and you can re-enable said content by booting the game under JP locale.

puzzle pieces are for creating an object; the puzzle is figuring out where the pieces go. In Tetris you don't need to "figure out" that you should fill a hole. If you're not autistic, then hearing "puzzle game" recalls Portal more than aimlessly stacking blocks – an actual autistic habit

Have you not ever played Tetris? It's a constant struggle to identify the best solution in the current problem space, and the space is continually shifting, and you need to plan ahead and strategize about which pieces to put where based on the playing field and the piece you have and the next piece coming. It's an NP-hard problem, which you have to solve.
You keep trying to redefine words to try to make your argument work, but it's just wrong on the face of it.

I'll tell you, I'm a landscaper, and maybe figuring out which shovel to use for this plant is a puzzle, maybe figuring out how to make my way through this dog shit soil is a puzzle, but "figuring out" that I need to dig a hole and plop a plant in there isn't a puzzle.
