I'm a myst fan and I don't like any myst before the win 2000 version. That being said it's identical to the apple version. It's very simple CD-Rom game, there's nothing good or bad to the console versions imo.

I'm glad Myst IV: Revelation is retro now so we can talk about that, such a great game, I should make a thread. Riven and Myst are so weak compared to Exile, Revelation, and EoA

Literally all the versions are identical until we start getting into masterpiece edition, realmyst and the other re-remake. YES the playstation version is fine, but so is the Scummvm version, or the amiga or the saturn, or windows 95 version or whichever.

I played the Saturn version a bit back in the day and it's was fine so the PS1 version is probably similar

I was about to download it but looked on youtube to see and the loading the next shot seemed slow. check for yourself because in what i ended up doing (win 3.1 kind of a hassle) its instantaneous so you can zoom around the settings. it would be annoying to be clicking and waiting to go through 10 slow loading screens then back then back agains

I rmember liking 4 but never finishing it. Should i play them all from the start, whats the best way? Just straight PC versions. Are there good repacks around?
