It's a Zelda-killer that's been marketed to be an open-world cRPG experience. Back when it was called Project Ego. But yeah still turned out really, really good, just not what was promised. Totally different genre.

I played this for the first time 2 years back and was really impressed, especially at the atmosphere and music, really felt like I was in an adventure movie. Up until the escort mission where there's some kind of boss fight Hydra or something in the sewers. Dropped it.

Gonna try part 2 soon. Mite B Cool.

dude this game is fucking trash. tiny world composed of little narrow forest paths. combat is beat em up tier. the actual RPG elements are bare bones and the way you collect exp is tedious and unsatisfying. barely anything chnages based on your choices. minigames/sidequests are a fucking joke, e.g. the "fishing" which consists of pressing a button in front of a pre-designates fishing hole and watching a little cursor. story is dumb and gay and of course your childhood adversary is a female PoC because nothing says high fantasy adventure like fighting a nigger girl. the game even has a homosexuality stat. you are an idiot.

2 is the bad one. 3 is better in some regards, namely the story and decision-making, but have awful gameplay. No difficulty. If you run out of HP you just fall over and get back up immediately and continue spamming the attack button mindlessly.

I cannot remember exactly but it was the usual escort mission bullshit where she kept dying or the boss itself was just bullshit and I got frustrated at my failure to complete it after dying 15 times. Would it be worth a retry?

In 2020 I bought all 3 games when I was doing a catch-up on the whole 360 generation that I missed. The 360 I bought broke but I have a Xbone now with the gamepass and they're all on it.

it's like the legend of zelda, it has a weak point it exposes like 3 or 4 times and the fight is over and you get a lot of experience, and then after that you make it outside where you are given way more experience as a quest reward

This game had an awesome holographic promo poster at GameStop that I always wanted. Good game had a lot of fun with it, but it definitely did not deliver on most of what was promised. The multiplayer hook they were working on for it sounded awesome. Still, good game.

Whats the earliest you can get some of the master weapons? I see them listed for absurd prices in some of the early shops but they disappear after a certain point in the plot. Im thinking if I start a game early enough and become an evil landlord I might be able to get the crazy cash required to get them early

The worst mistake was to leave the era of the Old Kingdom. Fable 2 was still good, but not as good fighting with awesome swords in fantasy armor.
