No. I never sell my handhelds or phones even after I've retired them.

I've used a 2000 and a 3000. Both of them had noticeable frameskipping in most action games. Not a big deal for turn based games like I said though. I've used gpSP kai and tempgba, they're pretty similar in terms of compatibility and performance. It goes without saying that I was using 333/166 clocks, too.

Pretty rad choice. I actually am sad I got rid of my GBA SP and PSP years ago, I never played handhelds on the go and got distracted by other things. Kinda wish I had kept all my OG hardware for that era.

For me, it was CUBESTATION2 or SNESTATION. Get my Nintendo first party fix and the wide catalogs of Playstation, plus having a DVD player in the PS2 era. I kinda held onto that mindset through the years, now it's PS5/Switchlite.

but for nostalgic gaming the snes and the gameboy was the best pairing for original hardware back in the day.

A handful of games don't work, there's also the parallel & serial ports if you need to use those for something. It's easier to chip too, and also has ODEs.

If you want to play different region games then the PS2 (the models with the built in PS1 hardware only) is a better option because you cant play them on full speed on a PS1.
