I like them more than the core provided blending.
I can't find anything with color bleeding that would give a rainbow effect/genesis fringing sadly.

So, what exactly is the point of getting a digital board at all? About the only thing it seems to offer over the Analog board is TOSLINK and does not take up the GPIO pins that a second RAM would take up... but you don't need a digital IO board to use a second RAM module in the first place and I doubt many people care about TOSLINK much these days.

I guess technically it has a power switch on it too, but there are plenty of ways to wire a power switch to a MiSTer.

not that anyone asked but I compared my retrotink 5x's PVM simulation mode to the mister's adaptive scanlines with PVM shadow mask, and they look virtually identical if it's 240p. probably seems like a no brainer but I thought they would at least look a little different. if you're directly comparing a specific console you only need to adjust the GS_Sharpness horiz filter on mister to match the blur.

Anyone else find that the scanlines look better at 720p than 1080p? I usually go Scanlines (Soft) or Scanlines (Medium). They look fine at 1080p but it's just more convincing at 720p imo. My TV doesn't support 1920x1440, only 2560x1440. I've heard that a 2560x1440 config is in the works using pixel duplication or something, I'm not sure. Really glad the Retrotink5x supports 2560x1440 now.

The Saturn core is very VERY alpha right now though, and not open source. The PS1 core used to need two ram modules too.

I guess at least if you are building a classic stacker version of the MiSTer it would be easy to swap out the digital board for an analog one if the saturn core gets to the point of only needing one RAM module.

I have been looking at some of those all-in-one consolizer boards like the Multisystem.
