What's your favorite retro F1 game?

F1 World Grand Prix for N64 (pic related)
Nigel Mansell for SNES (F1 in the Top Gear 2 engine, Super Monaco GP clone but better in every way)
F1 ROC Race of Champions for SNES (F1 in Mode 7)
Continental Circus for arcade (F1 Outrun style)
Virtua Racing for arcade, 32x and Genesis (F1 Star Fox style)
Formula One for Genesis (another superior Super Monaco GP clone)
I just can't fucking stand Super Monaco GP, the noise, the graphics, the controls.

Why would anyone want to play super monaco gp on mega drive when F1 by Domark exists?

Super Monaco GP, the best retro F1 racing game. Much better than that trash developed by tasteless white pigs.

Downloaded this one last year and was still really impressed playing it for the first time. Great with a wheel. Try it, OP.

The first Formula 1 from Bizarre Creations. Arcade controls, lots of tracks and a banging soundtrack (it has a couple of songs from Satriani and Vai).

>> No.8973813

has to be F1 97, later releases on the ps1 are hard to control and you can't see the track that well but the graphics are great.

>> No.8973816

Haven't played many, so probably Super Monaco GP by default.

Did this have the ability to change camera angles in third person by small increments using R1 and R2? The tachometer looks familar to a demo I played on a PlayStation Underground disc many years ago that eventually broke.

Why would we judge you for liking old games here? I've never played that one, but I like Pole Position, and Pitstop II.

the genesis version is lackluster but the SNES version is actually great, I always thought it was amazing how you actually have to know the circuits to drive on this game and brake properly
