It looks like it's an MMC3 mapper. The most powerful mapper is mmc5 iirc. I guess you could hack the game and optimize/patch for mmc5? I don't really know what the fuck any of that means though so hopefully someone who knows about mappers can answer your question. I'm actually a retard

Different mappers won't make the game faster, at least not directly.

An optimization patch for Contra Force could probably be done yes, there exists various optimization patches for some NES games that remove the lag and the only thing they do is optimize the code.

The problem is
>nobody cares about Contra Farce
>this would be a waste of time because you can use overclocking on emulators to get rid of the lag and it causes no glitch

Just use overclocking in FCEUX or Mesen and you're good to go. Still won't make the game good though
