I just beat Earthbound for the first time and now I have post-game depression. Especially because my crappy ass mac can't run GBA emulators correctly, so I can't go on to play Mother 3.

First of all, Earthbound/Mother Thread.

Secondly, are there other games like this? I need something to play to get over the sadNESS.

If you're looking for a good RPG, I'd recommend the Mario RPGs, great humor, awesome battle system, and challenging bosses all rolled into an an awesome RPG whose story isn't afraid to poke fun at itself at times.

If you're going straight retro, there's the classic Super Mario RPG, the Mario and Luigi series (though later games are on the (3)DS)), and the Paper Mario games (besides Super Paper Mario and Sticker Star).

Hope this helps friend, you won't be disappointed.

No problem, I've been through the same feelings myself when I beat Earthbound.

Just gotta play the field until you find another game to sink your time into, it's out there, just gotta find em first.

Have you tried Retroarch? It has VBA-M built in if I'm not mistaken

Are you kidding me, any computer can run VBA or VBA-M
I have a 10 year old laptop that was crappy even when I bought it and it can run GBA games at full speed with no frame skip.
Christ OP, is it the first time you touched a computer if you can't even set up a GBA emulator?

I tried tweaking it, but the music always lags. And for a game like this sound is very important.

You're clearly doing something very wrong.

To further my point, dingoo A320 can run GBA
My 6 year old nokia cellphone with fucking symbian can run GBA
My cousin who is 6 years old got GBA running all by himself in his little toddler school-appointed laptop.

Seeing as you're a macfriend you can try your luck with openemu which is specifically for people who have no idea how to emulators
