Sonic is such an underrated series. It took the concepts of mario 1 and expanded on them, specifically fast fluid physics. If you notice mario 3 dialed that shit back and mario world is a slow basic mess.

Sonic 1 was and is a quantum leap ahead in terms of fluid feel.

Super meat boy should be called super sonic boy because it really continues that legacy of fast fluid physics .... But even meat boy isn't as good
