I miss games like this for feels like the magical never ends, what other games make you guys feel this way.

Also, beating this for the first time... The ski level was just so fun.

A few anons will disagree, but Secret of Evermore has a magic feeling to it because of the music and the isolation. That, and I always secretly wanted to be in the protagonist's shoes when I was a kid. I was never a fan of the real world.

Ah, favourite piece of music right there from the entire game. It just seems so mysterious and outlandish, exploring the depths of an seemingly untouched, infested ruin of an ancient age.

Another game where I felt a feeling of grand awe was probably the very first time you step out onto the map in Terranigma.

i'm playing this game right now, emulated of course. To bad SE USA closed right after this game was released. It's a shame too, I've always liked this one more than Secret of Mana

The atmosphere of that game is fantastic.
From jungles full of animals to barren deserts, from weird temples to abandoned castles, from crowded markets to cyber isolation.

Also, IMO here's the best SoE music:

And you can even completely miss it!

Yoshi's island & Kirby's Adventure will forever be my childhood. Played them 100's of times. Still never gets old.

Nothing really anymore, probably because I've grown up. However, as a kid I think games like Super Mario RPG, Mario 64, and Super Metroid really did it for me.

>Kirby's Adventure
That was probably the first game I ever started and finished through emulation exclusively. That would have been on a PowerMac running iNES.

When I played Chrono Trigger the first time I genuinely though Magus' Lair was the end of the game. They got me good on that.
DKC2 and Paper Mario also gave me that never-ending pinata feeling.
There's another but it was from 2006 so I'll err on the side of caution and spoiler it: Megaman Powered Up
