I haven't seen any serious effort to preserve these old Java cellphone games. Will they eventualy be gone for good from the interwebs? When you searched for them like 6 years ago you could still find some Russian sites that had them for download, but nowadays you can do the same and only find the usual game profile at GameFAQs.

It might be in the unsorted 400GB archive or one of his other scrapes on that account. It takes a while for people to test and add things to Kahvibreak's launcher.

Sort of related, but wasnt some Japanese company trying to port a bunch of games from an old Japan phone service over to Switch in a collection? Some fag posted about it here some time ago and seemed neat.

Cool, that's encouraging. I can't even find a picture of that game, anymore. I remember seeing gifs of it on Sega's website around 2006.

For the sake of history it would be ideal to retain as much as possible. Something like mobile games seems minor, but depending on the specific topic you're into can be interesting. Or even just to give people a feeling and deeper understanding of what things were like at the time. I think seeing old mobile games is interesting knowledge, especially considering how big mobile gaming has become. It also gives me some personal nostalgia for the world as it was when I was in high school.

Japanese keitai games made back in the early 00s had some good installments of classic franchises like Dragon Quest and PC Genjin. Been looking for a way a to emulate or at least preserve them.

This is mostly true of YouTube & Twitter vids. Every Let's Play should be deleted, and gaming history vids are massive wastes of time and space. These tiny Java games that take up 20-500KB each are superior to some 200MB vid of some dipshit playing them.
