the guy who made that had to pay a royalty fee to a sports photographer because Konami saw it in his portfolio and chose it for their blades of steel cover. Still a great cover, just not wholly original. The guy who did this also basically ripped a few other covers for Konami. Pretty much why they're iconic seeming.

That said, I think he sells prints of his work on etsy

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as AA, is in fact, what the IEC 60086 system calls the size R6, and ANSI C18 calls it 15. It is named UM-3 by JIS of Japan. Historically, it is known as D14 (standard cell) or HP7 (for zinc chloride 'high power' version) in official documentation in the United Kingdom, or a pen cell.

id like to interject for just a monemt
those are batteries and they are included;
the original gameboy dmg-01 model as referred to by many chiptune purists - required four AA batteries at a time.
many games were released for the platform and some even unofficially without nintendos approval/consent!
the gameboy has two buttons, a start, select, and a dpad for directional movement- it was the next logical extenstion of the game&watch style handhelds that were quite popular at the time.

It's an all too common occurrence across this site, people who post the terms "I want to go back" and "this is what they took from you" have this commercial nostalgia for products of their childhood, like grow the fuck up nigga, Kmart still exists it just got a new coat of paint in the 10 years since you were a fucking child.
There's nothing stopping you from from playing a Gameboy, eating a happy meal and watching that shitty Spiderman movie that you equate with your childhood.

There's no point to miss, you're a faggot and you fail at life so you pine for a time when you weren't a cynical loser.
