I'm replying to you and letting you know that this is probably true.
I'm 26, but since I happen to have a stepdad on the younger end of gen X my first experience with this game was with the Sierra version of the game. I hope it warms your heart to know that I thought this line was funny without ever having seen a video that did its best to tell me that I should think it's funny.
