A GOOD SAINT SEIYA GAME BEAT EM UP DONE BY KONAMI USING THE XMEN AND METHAMORPHIC FORCE ENGINE FOR THE PAL AND LATINO MARKET.

Naj even when they got good developers, Bandai still micromanage them to shit and cripple them, no different when RARE did those games for LJN and were still shit (Beetlejuice, US Roger Rabbit, Nightmare on Elm Street), i mean even Atlus got in their workload and their output was still bad (Jaws, Friday The 13th, T&C surf design which is good for 5 mins).

Most likely TOSE would been doing it.

Yeah, some slick cell shading, some solid shooting action, not quite fully open world but big enough areas to explore and interact with (And blow up) spread it across different sets with various other events and things to break it up. Also you need a jet pack. I don't know if we said that last time but one of the power ups needs to be a jet pack.

I think the famicom game does something along those lines. Every shot you miss which goes offscreen is counted and presumed to have destroyed something. Your rating is derived from how often it happens.

Right but I'm talking about something more meaningful in general. Like say there's a level in the city, or even simpler a single building, depending on how sloppily you play you could bring down the whole complex or just get off with light burns. So if you fuck things up too much you end up with a bad score, naturally, but you also get your pay docked which means less upgrades. You could even expand on this more by having the damage spread out so at the end of the game you could be looking at a crater where the city once was. Or maybe bring a whole space station down. Heck maybe you can even blow up a planet. And if you destroy too much you get a bad rank which affects how you're dealt with and maybe even a bad ending

Earthbound-style RPG.
Final area of the game is where main kid from the first series (who was also main kid in Hocus Pocus, btw) and main kid from the second series find out Eerie, Indiana is a TV show and the last boss is the network execs, acting together as a single entity (think any composite creature in Phantasy Star, like the slime/slug things or those creatures in the academy basement that fuse together and look like they have a wiggling dick), trying to cancel the show for being unprofitable.
The only question is what would be the sub-in for typical RPG magic. Earthbound as PSI, Secret of Evermore has alchemy... what would Eerie Indiana have?
Oh, also the game would have parallel dimensions, because that's how the two sets of kids know each other in the first place.

Commando (the movie with Schwarzenegger). The part where he escapes the plane through the cargo compartment and gets scared by a doberman in an air cage is less than a minute long. But it always felt like it would have been an entire level with crate platforms and recurring dog enemies leaping from their cages, with the last part being a very finicky jump into the plane's wheels (as well as some really nice mapping to picture the scenery scrolling as the plane is taking off).

The Animals of Farthing Wood.
It would basically be Oregon Trail, but there's no way to win and every animal dies, the end.

Srsly, fuck that show. Every episode, children were greeted with the death of another character or two. Hopefully, it's a quick, unseen death (the hedgehogs getting flattened on a motorway, for example) but sometimes, it's a bloody, though often quick death (such as the mouse and her babies being impaled on thorns by a shrike, or the stag getting BOOMHEADSHOT by a hunter) but if you're really lucky, it's a violent one (like the rat choking the adder to death or any time Scarface the fox kills another fucking bunny).
Worst would be the soulful deaths.

Yeah it's very grim, especially how the "bad guys" are left behind and die in the explosion of the rocket (and subsequently the Earth explosion).
I remember there were 2 different versions of that opening, one with a silly tune, and another with Bach's toccata and fugue. That version with the Bach music was so fitting and it matched the darkness of the ending part amazingly well.
That first episode of the series was also super grim, when they show how the dinosaurs died.
It reminds me a lot of all these 70s anime shows like Kerokko Demetan or Hutch the bee where on the surface it's all cutesy but when you actually watch it there's a lot of dark stuff. I think all these cartoons were made by people who actually experienced WWII first hand as kids, so yeah.

I think Life would be even better, it could have been a fun educational game about the body, imagine: Flying through the bloodstream in you lymphocyte ship thing in Psi's squad fighting infections, taking the role of a nerve impulse messenger (get to the goal fast enough or the reflex will come too late), manage a cell from the commando central in the core, learning just like at the side all things about DNA-RNA translations, mitochondria, protein synthesis and many other things the cell does...
It would be GLORIOUS.

What would it even be like? I can't imagine any sort of gameplay that would translate to a Rugrats-theme vidya.

I think an Aladdin TV show game with Mosenrath as the big bad woulda been great. Mosenrath was a real one. Shame his VA killed himself. He was quite talented as a VA, as I recall.
Shame the show ended (or got cancelled?) before they could have explored his story further. IIRC, he was meant to learn that Aladdin is his half brother or some shit.

You don't have to imagine it. If they did a SNES Rugrats game it would likely be published by Acclaim or Hi Tech Expressions and made by a shovelware studio.

Redpill me on this "iletait une fois..."
I started watching it and got hooked. It's like a mix of european cartoons and anime, it has a nice feel to it and it's also interesting since it's based in history.

Extremely popular in Europe, especially Life, which got bundled with several magazines/books teaching kids about the human body using the same characters.

Interesting concept of using the same characters in different universes which are typically 26 episodes long.
There is always that long bearded wise guy - in Life as a wise blood cell - Psi and Pierot and many side characters. When there are bad characters needed they are always based on that guy with the large red nose and that always angry one with again a distinctive nose (in Life the first one was used as archetype for viruses and the second one for bacteria respectively though they also appear as humans whenever some jerk characters are needed).

It was always more or less eductional.
Man was first, then came Space which is less educational but has a very sophisticated plot for a kids show, then they went full educational with Life and then they went more into history.
Since it always uses the same characters in different roles it is really comfy to watch, you always see the same faces.
To a newcomer I would recommend to watch Space and Life, they are the best seasons.
Psi is also the cutest in those two.

The series ends with a bittersweet tone, though- earth is destroyed in a nuclear war after the planet is overpopulated, polluted and depleted of it's resources, but the survivors who escape to space learn the lesson and develop a superadvanced civilization that can get along perfectly fine while they look for new planets to inhabit and wait until the nuclear fallouted Earth could sustain life again.
The entire series is actually a history lesson taught by the space humans to their children so they could avoid repeating the mistake their ancesters did.
