my absolutely favorite level is the part where you are getting to the second bowser fight, my second favorite actual level-level is of course lethal lava land

There’s just something magical about Mario 64.

-Why are you all being so earnest?
It's startling.

Big Little Land or whatever it's called was a lot of fun. I struggled so much with the 100 coin challenge since I didn't know about the niggler's cave

It’s so easy for anyone to dismiss it as nostalgia but I genuinely get such good feelings while playing M64 and I don’t think it’s just fuzzy childhood memories although those do help.

Whomp's Fortress, but its too played out so I'll say Lethal Lava Land.
I also find the Wing and Metal Cap zones underrated & wish they were bigger (Vanish zone isn't as interesting, like the power up itself).

Probably Sky Deck.
Oh, you meant Nintenyearold Bingbingwahoo 64? Sorry, I don’t play baby games. Sky Deck alone has more exploration, interesting mechanics, and atmosphere than the entirety of any mario game ever. I really wish /vr/ had stuck to its guns on its original rules and banned Nintentoddlers. You already have /v/ to go suck off Nintendon’t.

You can literally play it in your web browser, gone are the days when you had to download an emulator and tinker with a bunch of plugins just to get it to run like a slide show that crackles.

i have alwas been a huge fan of this hub system where u start in a hub that leads to levels and u have to unlock more of the hub over time to see more levels. idk why i like it so much and i hate modern games dont have this anymore

For me its Whomps Fortress and the first Bowser level.

I hate wing cap zone. Trying to get all 8 red coins is a pain, you have to guide perfectly immediately when the level starts so you dont lose too much altitude.
Metal cap zone is kino as fuck though, I'll agree with you on that. They could have easily made a longer level out of it.
