Before the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 1, Sega used this as a primary selling point for the system. It was true for the most part, besides the lack of any scaling hardware, a not-so-great colour pallet and scaled down audio. But developers did work around some of the later issues. Arcade ports and sports games were two of the bigger selling points for the Genesis/ Mega Drive in 1988-1991. The system was no Neo-Geo AES. But it was like a budget arcade board.

I had Both Snes and Genesis (No TG16 ,I never found one.) , But was far more into pc games at the time. Lan party's were getting started , Was a lot of fun. Doom,Duke3d,Warcraft ect

There's a Tempo theme song rom floating around. There's also a Rick Roll music video rom. I found out about that one when I tried to load a Super Street Fighter 2 rom into my Genesis emulator and that came on. Which got me thinking. Was there a Super Nintendo version? Looks like there is one. That would be hilarious if someone put that inside an Earthbound reproduction cart and then proceeded to sell it to the "We buy video games!" craigslist spammer.
