Let's talk about some Obscure or Interesting retro games. Could be games that not many people talk about, or just games with weird or unique aesthetics. Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong-Nou isn't really that obscure after a bunch of famous youtubers have covered it but it still has a place in my heart.

i have an ongoing interest in Gadget. It's a japanese adventure game of the same era, all stills or simple quicktime video, though all but devoid of puzzles. Very atmospheric and mysterious, both on purpose and by accident. it's oddly literate, there are references to works by William Burroughs and Phillip K Dick, with a similar paranoid Kafka esque tone to those writers. It's had a weird longevity, apparently it was influential among several American filmmakers, Guillermo Del Toro has mentioned it and Alex Proyas of Dark City has confirmed he played it, Mark Laidlaw of Half Life wrote a novel which I still have to read. The game itself was made almost entirely by Haruhiko Shono, who went on to direct the CG for stuff like Casshern or the Terraformars movies.

This is a neat game.
What is that JP PS1 game where you are a detective and drive around a dark city? It's a crazy first person adventure with mutants and shit.

The Dark Eye (can’t post images since I’m using Merlin on iOS and it crashes when I try to choose file)

It’s a weird, point-n-click claymation game that takes you into a few Edgar Allen Poe stories that involve murder and has you play the stories from the perspective of both the murderer and the victim. Not a very good game in terms of playability but it’s very surreal and basically unlike anything else I’ve ever seen.

its a puzzle game but really open and you can do stuff in different order AND different ways too wich kinda suck if you get stuck and search for a solution but the game isnt too hard and got a really nice atmosphere and interesting lore.
