What's the best light gun to get for PS1? I hear the Guncon from Namco is great, but I have a 5501 console, so how would the yellow cable work?

I don't see why not, the Gun plugs into the console and cable goes into your component input for your TV.

GunCon mostly only works with Namco games though

Guncon T cable. Left side of pic-related plugs directly into your TV (be it composite or YPbPr), followed by your game console cable. Right side is for your Guncons.

There's also third-party guns that have a switch on them that allow you to toggle between "Guncon" and "Normal" (Konami games for example). Those might be hard to find though and have dubious quality.

I recently bought a Guncon from Japanese eBay and it is super high quality both in feel and gameplay. The gun has nearly flawless accuracy and is 100x more responsive compared to the Wiimote pointer.

The guncon 45 has a good chance to have a cable long enough to be plugged straight to the tv, with the console's video signal plugged into the passthrough of the cable.

Otherwise, the guncon used to come with a video adapter, which added An RCA passthrough (allows to play lightgun games with scart RGB video in europe too)

Justifier games can be modded to work with Guncons/Yobos (cheap/functional Guncon alt if those can't be reasonably acquired)

Basically get some sort of Guncon. Justifiers are stupid and work with worse games. I'm sure some ironic faggot is gonna try to tell me Lethal Enforcers competes with any Namco/Sega gun game but suck me off.
