Was it misunderstood or zoomers just nostalgic for it?

>> No.8780448

Now now, I know younger millenials suck, but don't call em zoomers.

Okay gen z fag

The game is almost 19 years old, zoomers didn't grow up with it unless zoomer is now a catchall for "people I don't like", it's not zoomer shit

Fun af I loved this game in elementart school. Underrated imo. WAY more fun than mario kart.

If you were born in the late 90s you are by definition gen z. Maybe the arguement for PS2 or Xbox being for millenials holds water because those consoles had older fans but Nintendo games especially from that era were for children and toddlers.

This post just proves its all just nostalgic zoomers

>> No.8780487

Has really weird mechanics but the game is pretty damn fun with friends when you get used to it.

I don't really like the open world game mode though, feels like a waste of time. The racing is the good part.

>>8780487
That's a new one, City Trial is considered the strongest part of that game. But I'll say that the racing mode has more depth than people give it credit for.

Its good because its so casual, you don't have to steer or anything its more just about playing efficient and using items and boosting correctly if I remember right. Its a lot easier to pay attention to in a chill hang out environment in split-screen.

It's the definition of a game that should not have retailed for $60.

I've started to play this and have no clue how to win the races
Game seems to almost be on auto-pilot without many ways to determine the race's conclusion

Everyone says Kirby Air Ride is some sort of iconic Gamecube game, but I just feel it's okay at best. Even with friends, even when playing City Trial, it just doesn't seem that great. Seems like it's more a game of luck than skill

You go faster by damaging enemies. ANY enemy, even other players. You need to be aggressive and attack everything you can. Ignoring an enemy because it doesn't have a copy ability is a fatal mistake.

If you were a literal baby when the GameCube launched in 2001, then it’s not part of your generation. Gen Z childhood consoles are 360/PS3/Wii.

You're just butthurt that the Wagon Star gets outclassed by some gay ass moped.

Why do people on this board try so hard to classify things as millennial or zoomer.
Gamecube would be considered a childhood console to someone born in '93 and someone born in '99.

Every time I play the LAN mode with friends they all think its boring as fuck. To be honest the game isn't super engaging for me. Even when you have a deep technical understanding of it.

>> No.8781013

>>8781003
93, sure. 99? I’d say no. By the time someone born in 1999 was entering kindergarten, the sixth gen was winding down. Seventh gen represents the prime childhood years for Gen Z.

I was born in 97 and I grew up with only a n64 and ps1 well until 2007 when we got a ps2. I think it depends since I was a poorfag we were always a generation behind

>> No.8781162

Everyone doesn't buy the new console on launch day and throw out all their old games. People can get into the generation late, kids get hand-me-down games from their older relatives, garage sales and used game stores existed in the 90s/00s as well.
Then there's people like me who never unplugged their consoles till we moved. We had NES and Genesis on the basement TV, PS1s in the boys' rooms, and PS2 in the living room for DVD player functionality.
Why is this concept so hard to understand on /vr/ of all places.

>be me
>loved Kirby on gameboy
>loved kirby superstar and 64
>see this come out
>it's nothing like superstar, 64 or the gameboy game

Why do they do this? Give me the formula that I want. I don't want a kirby farming simulator. i want to suck up enemies and get their powers and go kill bad guys.
